Power Training Camp

3rd - 7th February 2022

Gran Canaria, Spain

Our Gran Canaria Training Camp is back again after a break last year. This is an opportunity to train like the Pro's. Including popular epic Gran Canaria climbs, with the added element of sprint competitions on the flatter roads along the coast.

The camp is once again planned to be held early in the new year, allowing you to soaking up some winter sun with temperatures averaging 21ºc. Small group numbers allow for personal on road coaching, regardless of your ability, on the climbs.

We regroup at the top of each major climb, usually at a lunchtime cafe stop, where there is great food and coffee wherever you go on the island.

We will once again be based in Maspalomas in a new hotel to previous camps with breakfast and dinner included. Post ride; it is possible to review you power data with coach.

This time the format of the week is more condensed with the rest day taken out and 4 epic days of cycling with the usual favourite rides, but with some new roads included.

Debbie and I would love to see you there, when we return to Gran Canaria in early 2022. Check out the full itinerary and booking details below.

Friday

Santa Lucia

A flat start to the first morning start of the week, where we kick off the sprint competition. We then head inland to a broken climb for over 1 hour which will be partly on different roads to previous camp's. Descent to lunch stop with more descending, including a final kick up a wall! 77km with 1566m of elevation gain.

Sunday

Valley of Tears

After a sprint to start, just outside Maspalomas, we briefly ride along the coast, before heading through a valley with false flat road at first, followed by climbing for around 40 minutes. After descending, we stop for lunch before climbing back up the valley again and back down to the coast to finish. 94km with 2015m of elevation gain.
