The rollers are an oldie but a goodie. They requre a very specific skill to be mastered, but the benefits to this make learning the skill all worth it. You might already be a master of the rollers and already know the benefits. If you are new to them, they will take a handful of sessions to get used to, but if you push your skills and fear, you will increase your pedalling smoothness considerably, as you try to keep your bike stable on the rollers, you need to have a smoother pedalling action to achieve this. It is possible to produce power over FTP on the rollers, but you may need to a fixed trainer for your higher power efforts.
